With the many blogs that are out there and available, why this one? A fair question with a simple answer: Because there are souls that are headed toward eternity.

This blog is not one that will delve into philosophical postings, nor will it be only for believers or only for unbelievers. It exists because there are souls that are headed toward eternity.

It is not here because I have all the answers: I do not! However, I have a great deal of faith that the Bible, God’s word, does have the answers and I believe that those souls that are headed toward eternity (of whom I am one) need to focus not on creeds and doctrines of men but on the words of God as revealed through His holy apostles and prophets. That is how this blog will live up to it’s reason for being here, by focusing on God’s word.

However, I will gladly encourage anyone looking for answers from God to bypass this blog, and all the other blogs as well, and simply be satisfied with reading, or listening to, the Bible itself. Still, if anything that I post can be helpful to you in your journey, or stirs up a question that I might offer some guidance on, then please let me know. What I post may be important to me or to a few, but it pales in comparison to what God’s word is able to do when absorbed by constant contact.

The congregation of the Lost Pines church of Christ meets at 1106 College St. in Bastrop, Tx and you are welcome to visit us at any of our services. Sunday 9:30 am, 10:30 am and 2pm. Also Wednesday 6:30pm.
